Engineering Company

  • The company was losing $120,000 per annum and needed to return to profitability.
  • DJM planned and assisted with the implementation of cost reduction, debtor control and direct marketing strategies for the client. DJM also monitored the performance of the company in the absence of its directors.

Outcome:           

  • As a result of DJM’s involvement, the company was returned to a profitable position within 12 months.

  • The company was installing a new, state-of-the-art printing press. DJM developed a marketing plan to ensure the new press would be operating at full capacity as soon as possible. This plan was implemented first at DJM’s premises and after six months transferred to the client’s premises. DJM chaired weekly Sales Team Meetings to keep the marketing plan on track for a further six months.

Outcome:

  • The outcome of DJM’s efforts for the company was a 20% increase in sales, a 5% increase in Gross Profit margin and a healthier bottom line.

Clothing Manufacturer & Screenprinter

  • To develop a software system that would replace the masses of paper used for cataloging designs and screens, order forms, stock of shirts & shorts, raw materials, customer orders, production ships, delivery notes, invoices, etc.

Outcome:

  • The resulting software developed (in Visual Basic) dramatically improved staff efficiency. Less time was spent searching for records and making mundane manual calculations. It ensured fewer mistakes were made with manual recording and transferring methods and it freed up considerable time for staff to do other important (backlogged) tasks. It also allowed the two sales reps to improve their performance considerably by having historical customer records at their fingertips on laptop computer as they travelled Australia.
