Business Development Grant
Assistance provided
under the grant:
- 50%
grants provided for eligible costs associated with new projects that
lead to increased - employment, sales, exports, import replacement,
profitability, or capital expenditure.
- Grants
range from $5,000-$30,000 per project.
- Applicants
can access up to a maximum of $150,000 over the life of the grant to 30
June 2003.
- Applications
can be lodged at any time they are assessed on a continual basis.
Eligible Projects:
The types of projects that
are eligible for assistance should help businesses:
- Plan
for future expansion
- Identify
and develop new domestic or export markets
- Develop
innovative products and services
- Improve
business processes
- Adopt
new technology
- Develop
external business relationship
- Be
more environmentally effective
Eligible Expenditure
includes:
- Contracting
consultants, external experts or additional internal salary costs.
- Product
and process development costs including design costs, materials for
prototypes, systems development and testing.
- Travel
and accommodation where they are essential to the success of the
project.
- Purchasing
data and other relevant information such as market research.

Eligibility of
Company:
- Be
an established Qld firm
- Have
a demonstrated level of business success
- Be
able to match any approved funding
- Be
committed to; exporting or import replacement; undertaking value-added
processes or services; providing exporters with an essential product or
service; or being a key part of a value-adding supply chain.
